I have a 95 240sx, and I recently just did a ghetto cd deck installation, wires hanging out etc... Last night for some reason my illumination on the dash went out, although everything else worked perfectly fine. I tried hooking up power the the illumination, and that worked... But the only power I can hook up to it is the ignition power, or the constant power... I want it to be normal again so I can flip the parking lights and the dash will come on... Any ideas?

check your fuse, you may have blown the fuse in the panel... it happens when people install decks... i would check the fuse if not checked already.

uh oh, I thought we solved this problem before. relax you are not the first to have this problem and will not be th last. If you connected direct power to the dash you definetly blew something and not just the fuse, only problem is what, since your in the club now of dash light delima, try this connect the RED WIRE YELLOW STRIPE to a ground be hind the dash should be a bolt near by. this should fix the problem but now you can not use your dimmer switch. We all replaced the switch, tcu, and every fuse and relay. If you find any other device to fix this legit post it up because we need it, but for now this will work.
