Dash Lights

Okay...already know what you're thinking and I've read a BUNCH of threads on this but I still can't find it. All of the lights work inside and out. The only lights that don't work are the ones for the dash. The air conditioner unit has a display when the headlight switch is off, but it disappears in the 2nd position (running lights) and in the third (headlights). I'm thinking that since the only lights affected are the dash lights, it must be in the switch. Ther threads I've read say the contacts can be a bit worn and that bending the contact in the headlight switch can fix it. Whaddya think? If so, what's the quickest way to get it out and bent so I can get the dash lights back on? I embarrass myself with my ignorance and rely on the wisdom of the Infiniti gods to save me

Its usually the dimmer switch .Give it a good whack and see if they don't come on.If they do you have a bad solder joint on the dinner.
