dash lights

My dash lights work whenever they feel like it. They can be on for several minutes and usually go out for several minutes. I searched and found the thread about the white box behind the left kick panel, I checked it out and the board inside had no visual flaws. I also posted this in 240 general but found little help there. Another member recommended I change the cluster, I tried and it didn't solve the problem. They don't flicker, so I don't think it's a loose wire, I checked wires when I tried the other cluster. Has anyone else experienced this?
