Dash Lights

I would like to change the color of the lights behind the dash probably try a couple to see how different colors look.

Does anyone know the bulb size so i dont have to take it apart to find out?

i heard it was 168 on mine....so i took apart my whole thing to see if an LED version of a 168 would fit....and yep got the whole thing out, took a bulb out and it def wasnt the same size. their tiny! I was trying to find my service engine soon light and i cant find it LOL i thought it was near the top so i basically tried every bulb looking for what one was dead and they were all fine

its pretty easy to take the dash out, just takes a lot of wiggling and a bit of force. The hardest part is getting it past ur steering wheel even with it tilted all the way down (which you already have it that way anayways lol)

Never took 'em out on the qx4, but they were 168 / 194 in my 240sx. . I took regular ones in that car and painted them red with high-temp engine paint, and it came out perfectly.

I can't imagine they'd be different in an R50, but perhaps 01+ is different. .

Thanks for the tip. I tried once and was unsuccessful. I'll try again sometime. Did you ever find out the QX4 gauge cluster bulb size, by any chance? (the ones that illmuminate the speedo and tach, etc)
