Dash lights not working?

Hello all. Iv just recently purchased a 95 240sx s14 and the dash lights are out.The blinkers and check engine light and abs lights all still work but the speedo and tac dont light up. Sucks driving in the dark when you dont know how fast your going. Anyone else ever have this problem and could use some advice

Not too familiar with the S14s, but that normally sounds like a TCU issue.

check fuses just to be safe, but it sounds like a TCU (timing control unit) issue. My S13 is having the same issue right now. Best way to test yours out is find a buddy with an S14 that everything works in, and swap yours into that car. Don't swap a working one into your current car, that will probably short out the good one and you'll be stuck with two messed up TCUs.

Not sure on S14s, but I know on S13s the dimmer switch is a big problem and can short the TCU

the dash lights dimmer switch isnt plugged in probably, or is in the "off" position.

There is something in tech pages I had that problem their is a white box next to the fuses that was burned out the box holds a circuit board check that I did and have had lights ever since
