Hello Everyone,

For the last few weeks, my dash lights on my 2001 QX4 are dim for about 5-10 minutes after starting the car in the morning. There's no problem with anything else electrical. I've had everything checked and there's no obvious problem. The battery is 3 months old and it tests fine as does the alternator. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

mac , definately a "thought" here , if 'n you are in a really cold area (now winter) , and it does - ALWAYS come back up to normal then possibly the incandescent bulbs / and to a lesser extent LED's, LED'S not themselves as affected by temps. Now the Dimmer / controller can be VERY affected by extremely cold temps ( yet these days "proper" engineering ought to really be able to compensate! :lolling: ) Lastly figure the Dimmer getting "clunky" yet not completely down & out? :rotflmao G 3/9/2018

Thanks for your response @macgiver. I live in So Cal, it's been cold but nothing out of the ordinary. I think you might have something with the bulbs.

try moving the wheel for the light intensity back and forth ... do you have it on max? contacts can get dirty.

@yeldogt. Yes, I've tried that and they are at the max. Thanks for your response.
