I have a 2013 M37 (came from a G37).
One thing I noticed is that the dash lights (both the gauge cluster and the dash itself where the audio and nav controls are ) are fairly dim, noticeably dimmer than my G37 dash was.
On my G, I used to set the dimmer to one click under max. I currently have my M dimmer set one click beneath max as well. On max, the gauge cluster is way too bright for nighttime use so I figured one click below would again be perfect. Unfortunately, one click below max dims the gauges significantly so they are too dim. There is no good in-between like the G37 had. I'm not saying something is obviously wrong as the gauges are easily readable at night but they feel dim, not the crisp white lettering my G had at night.
I did have a new battery installed last year. Not for this but because the battery went dead. The dim lights were noticeable before and after the battery was changed so it is not the battery.
Just wondering if anyone else found the dash lights dim in this car unless they cranked to max, where the gauges become blinding. Perhaps it's just the way this model is. Maybe have to visit the dealer at night and compare with a Q70 on the lot to set my mind at ease. Figure the Q70 would have the same internals as the M37 since the interior is identical
