Dash lights arent working need some help!

Ok i recently bought myself a used 240, I saved this 240sx from the hands of an inexperience person,He didnt know how he had egr hose broken, he kinda tried to kill me by not having enough brake fluid it was all the way to the bottom and the car is rusty undernearth cant handle canadian climate.

Srry about the chatter

OK my problem is my gauge/dashlight doesnt light only. My clock lights up until you turn on the headlights are on. i hope someone know because i checked the fuses.

The bulbs might be in need of replacing.

Most likely your TCM - search for further description and pictures cause I don't feel like going into the nity-grity.. Also, search for TCU as people offen mislabel it as such..

TCM = timing control module. Basically controls interior/exterior light relationships, amongst other things. I'd say with 99% certainty that's your problem.

Edit - a quick test for this is whenever the clock appears on; turn your over headlights on.. If the clock goes off when the lights go on it's your tcm.

Yup that the syptom how do i check the tcm it's something like near the fuses in the kick box thingy (im srry i cant get the techical word i cant remember )

i checked the other post of yours kiwi and found out more i check and yes it does have a burn on one spot can i just rewire the path

If you have the know-how.. Most people don't. I would just suggest picking up a new one from a yard for like $10.

it was the tcm kiwi i thank you ver much its very easy i just had a wire and some solder and jump the broken link. The circuit board isnt that complex and too small.
