dash lights , and windshield wipers quit at the same time

Bought a 95 240sx about a year ago, windshield wipers was re routed to a seperate switch, I have noticed that my dash lights and climate control lights were very dim there was a lose connection between switch and where the guy got power for the switch,long stoy short tried to fix bad connection by moving the lose wire to see if it effected the dash lights it was the problem but when i had time the next day these componets were not working checked all the fuses and max fuses all are good could this be a bacd circuit in the cluster it self, please help if it rains im out of luck.
