Dash lighting question

I did a lot of searching on this forum and others and couldnt find the answer. Im installing an autometer boost gauge and it needs to tie in with the 12v Dash Lighting, so the back light for it will turn on when the lights are turned on. I tried looking through my Chilton's (pos) manual and unfortunatly couldnt find out what color the 12v dash light wire going to the gauge cluster was. I looked at the fuse for light control and I think its solid green and there is a solid green wire for the gauge cluster but im not sure if its the right wire to use. I was wondering if someone already knew.

If you have a dimmer switch in your car, take it out and use a test light to see which wire will turn on/off, when you turn the lights on and off. But im not sure, so someone correct me if im wrong
