i have a 93 j30t and my dash lights and the rest of my interior lights except my dome light and my map lights. wont come on when i turn on my head lights. but when i turn my alarm on my dash lights and the rest of the lights flash on and off. so i know they work. so i think it could be the dimmer switch. does anyone know where i can get the dimmer switch.

You can try cleaning the dimmer switch and I'll bet you'll be good to go.

Remove and replace.

It's like $22 IIRC.

Could you give me more info on the "fuse behind the cluster"? I'd love to find a simple fix to getting the dash light working again. Thanks!

I had to take the dimmer switch out and re-solder the connections on the inside. Easy fix. I was completely done in 20 minutes. Most anyone can do this.

Does your glove compartment light work? If not change the fuse and the dash lights will work. Had same problem

Welcome to NICO! Sorry to hear that your car is having trouble. I'm not all too well versed in your vehicle, but can offer an option for you. Here at NICO, we have Factory Service Manuals available free to members. Take a look at the link in my signature and find the FSM for your car and you'll have all the info you'll ever need to make the repair and try to diagnose it for yourself while help is on the way.
