Ahh, well, that excludes that possibility. Damn, I hate donut tyres. Sure would be nice for automobile manufacturers/engineers to develop cars which could accommodate a full-size spare. 'Tis a real pity that one has to purchase an SUV or other large vehicle most of the time even to have this as an option these days.

I'm tempted someday to try carving out the styrofoam shell in the trunk to enlarge the recess for the spare so that I could put a full-size tyre in there. Don't know if it's deep enough for one, but sure would be nice to have one. Did I mention that I hate donut tyres? -b-

my light just came on too... i haven't been driving it at night lately, and it's pretty cold outside (for Cali) it's 40 degrees outside. ad when i got in. i let the car warm up, and noticed the light came on. after like 15 minutes of driving it was still on.

should i just wait for the weather to warm up to see if it going away? i don't remember if this happened last year around this time either. maybe because it seems to be colder now, than it was last year.

That little hole in the lower dash for your key fob is not for charging it, it is simply a key holder, even the salesguy thought it was a charger . There seems to be a lot of confusion over this.

BnW didn't say it was a charger, he just said he'll kill da battery on his key fob and just stick the key fob in the hole. you're car will still turn on with the key fob in the hole even if the battery is dead. (at least that was what i was told)

Didn't they fill your tires with nitrogen?

I thought I read that the car will still start if the fob battery is low and you put it in the dash recepticle, but only a couple of times until the battery is completely dead. I was under the impression that if you let the battery completely run out even putting the fob in the dash won't start it. I think the dealer told me that as well, but he also told me that the fob recepticle charged the fob and I had to correct him. I just replaced my fob battery (with a duracell from CVS - very simple & cheap) and I don't know why anyone would let it run all the way down with all the warnings you get.

Oo.. I haz question.

So. Driving home last night, a 4 hour ride, my tire pressure light started to blink for a little bit. Then it stayed on for about... 15 minutes or so. Then shut off.

Half an hour later, it did the same thing. Then shut off again.

Another hour later, it just came on. No blinking. Then it shut off again after about 20 minutes.

I haven't seen it on since then.

Temps were about 45-50 degrees, so I don't think cold was a factor, and I had been driving for about an hour before it started blinking the first time.

Thoughts?

I got a nail in my driver's front tire, so the light comes on after a few days of putting air in it. I'm just buying time until I have cash to get new tires since I need two front tires anyways.

Thanks for posting this question w/ picture as that is exactly what happened to me yesterday in my 2009 Altima. I recalculated the tire pressure due to cold temperatures BUT I still have the small white light ( lower left side of picture) , the one that looks like a small speedometer. I have driven the car and it it stil;l hasn't gone off. What does it represent? I searched the entire manual. Help. Thanks

That could be the ambiance light adjustment

You'll have to forgive me - what is an ambience light? How would I adjust it?

I have seen an icon show up on my dashboard display which has confounded me since it first showed up. No one I've asked can explain what it means or why it showed up. It is not in the manual nor have I ever found any info on it on the web. I am hoping someone here can get me an explanation. I have a photo of it but not sure how to post it on this page. It looks like a radar or a signal strength symbol with the number 3.5 beside it.

Any help!

Thanks,
Jerry

I'm pretty sure it's some sort of timer or reminder that may have been set by a previous owner. If you cycle through the screens you can set reminders to change your oil or tires for example.

Its a reminder to take a break from driving. You can turn that off, no problemo.
