Trying to fix my HUD and odometer. I found this post http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/how-to ... h-hud.html but after testing the capacitor with the soldering gun, it didn't work. So can anyone give more info on this problem? Maybe I did something wrong, here are the steps i took.
Took out the cluster
Took of the plastic glass covering
Took off black covering
Reconnected all the wire back to the dash
Turned the key to run
Took the soldering iron up to the capacitor for a few seconds
No luck.

Also, my odometer stopped working but that was way after the hud because I bought the car without a working HUD and a rolling odometer. Searched around good but couldn't really find a good write up.And the odometer stopped working after I reset the trip, maybe it stuck? Any help?

Make sure that ground connected to the digital speedo is connected to the dash printed circuit, and did you use a 1uF 50v capacitor for the fix? make sure when you solder it to the board you have it the right polarity. "NOTE: Pay attention to the polarity of the new capacitor.Although the capacitor will probably work installed either way, the positive lead should be on the left side when looking at the board as in Photo 2. " so maybe you didn't put it there right? Try making sure all your harness connections and the odometer connection are solid. Good luck
