Hey guys I've had this problem for a couple weeks now but now it kinda got worse. I've noticed when I'm driving my E-Brake light will come on. I check the ebrake and its all the way down. I even push down on it just to make sure. The light will stay on for about a minute then go off. It bothered me but it didn't seem that bad. Well, today I was driving to class and my ebrake light, VDC light, and Slip light were all on. They stayed on for most of the way to class. I kept pressing the VDC off button to see if that would make a difference, but it did nothing. I ended up putting my car in neutral and turning it off then back on. IT fixed the problem for now. The problem I have is that this is a random event. i would take it to the dealership but it dosen't stay on. I figured I would ask the experts before I waste my time dealing with the dealer. My fear is that they will look at the car and find nothing. I think some wires may be loose but I have no idea. The only mods I have is an Intake and Exhaust. I dont have any aftermarket wheels that would maybe cause the problem. Any help would be awesome. Im getting ready to go back to class now, I'll keep an eye on it to see if it happens again. Thanks in advance for any help.

Interesting. A guy I work with has an '08 sedan that does the same thing. He's got the 3.5 completely loaded and 100% bone stock (he's really not one to be interested in modding anything). The fact that his car does the exact same thing kind of scares me. This means it's not really an isolated event. He also said it's a random event with his car, and it comes and goes. At first, it was pretty rare. But he says it's getting a lot more common now (happens to him probably once per week). He was going to take it to the dealer, but it seems like it'll be nearly impossible for them to reproduce the issue considering how random it is. If he finds anything out, I'll certainly keep you posted.

Anybody with more mechanical skills than me have any idea?

Well it happened again today. All the same lights came on. Eventually the ebrake light went off but all the other lights stayed on. I thought about the brake fluid fixing the ebrake light. Could the VDC ans Slip light mean im short on other fluids???

Hey Viper - what do you have on your car, or is it completely stock?

ya the weight sensors in the passenger seat of the a/c is in a terrible position. If you sit in that seat, you have to put your butt all the way back where the seat and back meet. Thats where the switch is. If you slouch at all, the airbag off light will come on for the passenger side. Horrible design.

All I have is an intake and exhaust. Nothing else. I don't think the intake and exhaust would have any affect on it.

My car just started doing that last week. It seems like when it's cold outside, the lights will come on. When it's warm, everything looks normal. Brake fluid level looks fine.

Edit: I rechecked my fluid levels, and it was on the min line. So I added more brake fluid per Cali 2 Balti's suggestion below, and no more warning lights! Thanks man!

You figure Nissan could code a warning message on the LCD screen that says check/low fluid or something.

They are all related - any time you get any of these lights the first thing is to check the fluid level. As your pads wear the fluid drops. And you get the warning lights.

Hey guys just incase anyone has the same problem, I went to the dealer today and they said my E-Brake needed to be tightened, and that I may need a new steering sensor. They said the sensor my throw off the VDC. I have an appointment for monday so I'll keep you posted.

The dwealership might be able to help, they will take it out for a test drive to see if it happens when they are htere. They may have to reset the swiches for the computer of the car to fix it. GL
