OK, just got my S13 240 the other day with the SR swap. problem right now is that my dash clock resets itself every time the car is turned off. also, the interior light doesn't work. while cleaning it out today, i yanked the radio to check the harnessing. the guy that owned the car before the guy that fixed it up, had a decent system in it, but literally ripped most of the components out and slopped things back together. the radio is busted with bits and pieces rattling around in it, but the harness looks ok from that end. i'm wondering if the radio is causing a power spike to occur through the dash harness everytime the car is started, or if i might have an engine to dash harness problem. any insight?

ok, then unplug the radio and see if it still happens, right now the radio is completing the circuit, but it sounds like a constant 12v was messed somewhere, do u hav ethe stock gauge cluster? and are the wires that had to be modified by the ecu all correct

i haven't had the car on with the radio out yet, but my guess was a voltage problem in the radio itself. yes i have the stock gauge cluster, and i didn't do the wiring harness myself a local nissan shop did it, and they have done multiple 240 swaps without having this problem.

here's the update. picked up a new pioneer DEH-25 head today and put it in. still didn't work and the clock is still resetting itself when the power is cut off. I pulled the radio out and started checking the leads to make sure the right lines were going to the right counterparts and realized that the car's radio harness has no pin or line for the ground. Probably gonna let a pro handle this and take it into the audio shop later to get their .02 on it, but what do you guys think?
