DASH Disassembly!!!

The dash is being takin apart, and i can't get the bezel behind the steering wheel and in front of the gauge cluster out. The tilt Knob keeps getting in the way and i can't see how to take that off either... help!:help

lower the wheel all the way.remove the top and botom of the steering shaft plastic cover that sits right behind the wheel (4 screws) then you should have room to ge thte bezel out.

i already took off the steering column cover, my brother finally got it, but i don't know how im getting it back in without scratching it all up after it's freshly painted~!

lmao, i'm sorry this is kind of of topic, but if you read all the previous msg's in one tone, "remove the steering wheel" is like a punchline, i almost spit my coke on the screen, it just sounded so funny.

yeah man! i painted mine nice and glossy black w/ clear coat and everything...and then i go to put it in and i had to bend it some to get it in right...paitn is all cracked and stufff..wasted all taht time :( gotta sand it down and repaint!

Find the two big bolts under the dash that are holding the steering column in place. Loosen them, so the entire column drops an inch or so. That will give you plenty of clearance. Ignore the joker who told you to remove the steering wheel.

I just did my interior...it'd help to take your steering wheel off before you put back your dash. My re-install went fairly well, but the damn seatbelt plastic covers were messed up....:(
