Dash Cracking problem

Anyone besides me have problems with their dash cracking!? the guy who owned the car b4 me did not take too much care to the dash, its not terrible, but i find the cracks seeming to get wider. is there something i can put on it to soften the dash and make it stop opening more? and how much would a dask for a 92 240sx be? i kinda added my own crack when putting the radar detector in, it stuck really good to my window in the wrong spot, so when i pulled it off it slammed into my damn dash .oopps:mad:

Well the problem is probobly over heating. The hotter the dash gets the more it will expand and eventually crack. First of all buy a sun visor for the windshield and always use it. I would say use a cleaning agent like maguires and then cover it for the next few weeks and see what happens. You could also lay down a sealent on every crack to keep them from expanding anymore. Also see about having it either repainted or recovered to keep this from occuring again. If you have any other questions give me a holler and I'll give you a buzz back. [email protected]

Oh for a new dash its about a $100 or so. Go to a U-pull place and get it cheap if theres a nice one.

yeah it is, i just wanna find a 240 club to visit one time, i really dont mind drivin distances
