This problem is a mix of 2 issues. I got a new engine wiring harness from wiring specialties and also shorted something on the ignition cylinder side opposite of where the key goes.

The sr was already in the car it ran and everything but the engine harness was ratty, I swapped it and it runs but the gauge cluster no longer ready temperature or rpm. Maybe it isn’t hot enough to crack the needle as it takes time but I don’t want to risk overheating it.

What would make my cluster no longer read rpm? I’ve looked at the fsm as well as the sr each pin out I’m going to run a wire from pin 3 to pin 12. If this doesn’t work is there a fuse or relay I should be looking for? I tested everything in the kick panel and it’s good.

Any other ideas would be appreciated. I have a second dash that allegedly works but I would like to save the 200$, thank you
