OK, so I'm new here too. Been playing around with my '06 Pathfinder for a little bit and decided to upgrade the interior lighting array.
Already replaced the bulbs on the window switches in the door. Used orange, 3mm LEDs (Oznium.com). They were a direct fit in replacing the stock ones....and about 3x brighter. The look great - not that washed out, pale orange, but more like a "Gatorade" orange and they really light up the switches.
Now I want to do the mirror switch, 4WD selector switch and VSC switch in the center console. The LEDs in these switches are hard-wired as part of the circuit board instead of soldered in like the window switches. Anyone try this already and what technique worked for this? I'm inclined to squish the LEDs on the board and run separate leads with the LED bulbs, connected elsewhere on the wiring harness. Before I do all that, I just wanted to post the question first. If I can just replace the LEDs on the circuit boards, that would be great. Just need to know where the + and - connections are located on the circuit board.
Interested in feedback on this. Thanks.
