I have searched all over and cant find anything. There is this chime coming from the dash(like the one when your keys are in the ign) when I get to about 75 mph. What is this, some sort of speed warning?

If you have a J-spec car, I know that there is a chime if you go over 100kph (about 60), but other than that, I'm not too sure..

You sure it's not the Flux Capacitor activation chime? By 87 mph it will be fully charged.

LOL @ Myetball!!!

But in answer to your question, thats a warning chime. Mine only comes on when I leave the keys in the ignition, or the lights on. If it's really bothering you, pull off the fuse box cover and in side twords the door you'll see a small metal box with a small (1/2 wire) white plug going into it. That is the dinger/flux capicitor activaor chime. Simply unplug it and the sound will stop. No more time travel though....

When I move around in my seat, that bell goes off. Mine is from some kind of sensor and the seatbelt. It's one of those things that makes you go hmmm.

BTW, I don't think any s13's had that speed chime...I think that's only the AE86's and maybe some other Toyotas. Too much Initial D. ;p

I used to be an initial d dork. See, I'm an anime fan period (hence the GTO avatar) and when I first saw the bootlegs a few years ago, I got one of those chimes imported from Japan. I know, I know; I'm a nerd. I never installed it though...want to buy it? I've got the schematics! ;)

i got a JDM S13 (right hand drive and all of course) and it has a speed chime at exactly 110kph, i call it my drunk beacon...

and also since mine is/was a stock auto, it has the E-AT "power" and "hold" switch that will one day controll my n20, but for now it's my drive home from the party switch as hold doesnt let you rev past 3500rpm or so..

Aaron, I got a front clip. I'm not happy with Venus. I'm rebuilding my motor due to bad rings....
