Dash and the Air bag.

is $700 for dash and air bags good price?what's the going price for the dash alone and as a set?

I personally think that is QUITE HIGH. I would look to get a set of airbags on eBay for CHEAP. Then, maybe get the dash locally to save on shipping costs and shipping damage.....

I know that when the passenger air bag deploys you have to replace the entire dash to fix it, but if you don't really care to have an airbag you could do this:

-get a piece of sheet metal-cut a piece to mach the size of the airbag location-mold it to the shape of the dash-Paint it flat black or leave it metalic-rivet or screw it on around the edges.

A buddy of mine did that to his salvaged s14 he bought. I wish I had pics, but it did not look bad. It sure does beat buying a new aribag unit and dash.
