darn squeek!!

I have a 1993 240sx and there is this squeek coming from under the hood that i Can not get rid of... Ive tryed new belts and that didnt work at all its driving me insane! anyone else have the same problem and know how to make it go away?

Hey, I think i have the same problem. It sounds like ducks are under your hood. It only makes that sound at idle. One of my friends told me it was the cam guard. I really havent looked into it much. Hope that helps

your right, it does sound like a duck...never though of it that way.i was told by my good friend (also a 240 owner) that it was the power steering goin bad...but who knows, i just blew my engine and need a new one anyways :

blown engines are no good.....why fix it if it doesnt even run

It could be slight knock.Not sure how that sounds but I know a guy who had a 240 with the same problem, shortly after his motor threw a rod or something.

If it's a slight knock as you rev the motor, wouldn't the knocking increase or would it go away. I've never heard a knock before so i don't know what it sounds like. At idle the sound is there, once you go above 1000rpm there is no more sound.
