I just added the WOW Trim custom dash to my coupe. The color is a great match to my Azure Blue exterior. Because it is real carbon fiber, it photographs much brighter than it looks in person.

WOW is the only company that makes the carbon fiber dash in dark blue. It is custom made when you order it, so it took about two weeks to get. I ordered the deluxe kit and there were many more pieces which I did not use. But, the basic kit did not include the trim piece for the odometer.

not a fan of color carbon fiber at all... plus, while matches the exterior, it in no way matches anything on the interior.... looks bad IMO, but do you my man, if you like it, that's all that matters

I guess your a fan of black interiors with fake wood trim. Does that really make sense? Why separate the interior from the exterior just because it is now the "norm"?

IMO, car manufactures have cut corners on car interiors. Car interiors used to pick-up at least highlights of the exterior colors. Now, they are just boring black regardless of the exterior color. Fewer options, fewer choices, fewer reasons not to by the stock cars on a lot.

To each his own...

nope, quite the opposite. I was one of the first on this forum to install a carbon fiber kit in my car, and when I did I noted that I did it to add to the dull interior of the car...however, I added traditional carbon fiber because the silvers perfectly accent the silvers already in the vehicle!... but adding colored carbon fiber just seems a bit in the opposite direction, it just doesn't look good in my opinion... but some folks will say that they don't like carbon fiber at all, and that my interior doesn't look good...

again, do you man, as long as you like it, just don't get offended (as I didn't) when folks respond to your post saying that they don't like it...

Considering most of you guys went with black or silver exteriors, adding color to the interior would not make sense. But, my exterior is that bright blue. Adding the blue dash makes sense and ties the exterior to the interior. I really is a great color match to the Azure Blue.

There are only two companies that I know carry the WOW trim custom dash:

http://www.wooddashexperts.com http://www.carwoodz.com

Considering I ordered samples from Carwoods over two weeks ago and have yet to receive them, I would not recommend them.

It is available in a variety of colors from WOW:http://www.wowtrim.com/store/

There are cheaper kits on sale through ebay, but they do not come in this selection of colors.

Most of the companies cut their kits from the same stock 3M backed materials. The difference between companies usually comes down to the precision of the cuts, not the quality of the kits.

In addition, 90% of people that install their own kits install them incorrectly. Using denatured alcohol is NOT the correct way to prep a dash for 3M kit installation, and what a lot of folks find is that their kit, while appearing to be correctly installed for the first few months, will begin to slowly peel away after a few months to a year.

If a kit is correctly installed, it should last longer than the car itself! For anyone interested, here's the writeup on the correct way to install a 3M backed dash kit...
