If the reserve is somewhere around $8000 it might be worth it but the bidder should try to get an estimate first. Since that back door does not close and it was raining I am thinking those seat stains are rain.

I have not posted this news, but I had gotten into a car crash. I need a new hood and grill and a bit of internal work on my stock intake. I was going slow but on ice or very wet ground, nothing could have been done. I am going to need 3000 CA dollars worth of work done to my car. If people have damages like I do, I think this would be a good idea. I think a few people or even the board should all pitch in and adopt the car so that people could buy parts off it for cheap.

Anyways my car is going in the 13th of march to be repaired and as well have my Stillen kit painted and installed.

And those seats aren't stained, they're wet. Notice how the car is wet? And there's that nice gap at the top of the door where the door to popped out (as it is designed to in a side impact)?

SO yeah.. it would be LESS nasty if it was just stains, now there's going to be mold.

Yes, airbags do throw off dust. When I ws hit head-on in my 1997 Mazda 626, my jacket was covered in white dust when the airbag went off. All I remember is a bright orange flash, and it smelled like gunpowder.

The powder is talcum powder (or corn starch). It's used to help the airbag fabric from sticking together when it deflated and helps lubricate it when it deploys. The burning smell comes from the charge that goes off to inflate the bag with Nitrogen gas.

I hope that the buyer was aware that this vehicle was flooded out. The "powder that is everywhere" is dirt. I ahve seen it amny times before after having worked in a body shop. Chances are this car was probably fished out of a river or lake or something and cleaned up. It was probably flooded to collect on the insurance after getting in an accident.
