I haven't played this game a whole lot (been too busy with Saints Row and Lego Star Wars II--which is an insanely fun coop game) but I decided to spend some real time with it tonight.

I discovered something I really dislike:Reward cars aren't worth anything!!

I know they did it to keep people from doing what I did with the first game: sell reward cars, build an über-car for a series, win new reward car, rinse, repeat.

Problem is...I don't WANT the reward cars. WTF do I want a 130 ft-lb Integra for? I want to sell it just to get rid of it. I will NEVER race it. My Solstice is a much better car. And I don't want the GT500KR either. Yeah, it's cool. But I don't want it.

But all you can get for the reward cars is $100. Stupid. The developers need to rethink that. If Forza 2 is anything like Forza, I'm not going to want the vast majority of the reward cars. Why not let me get some money out of them? Or, better yet, give CASH rewards! WTF are gutless econoboxes doing as series rewards in a RACING game?

Sell the cars you don't want on the auction house. That's why you can only sell cars for $100, it's to encourage use of the auction house That way you can free up your garage and get some good cash in return.

I didn't even think about the auction house.

Sweet.

f*** the auction house. It pisses me the hell off! I put my Porsche 997 with every modification available done to it up for sale. The car cost me 197,000 excluding parts. Somehow it ended up being sold for 79,000. Son of a b1tch.

Honestly, I could not possibly care less about acheivement points. The whole idea of them seems dumb to me. Maybe if they DID something...but I don't understand the whole gamerscore e-peen deal.

The point of achievements it to tempt people with multiple consoles to buy the Xbox version of the game. And for ego points.

Ahh, now that's a good point...replay value.

Still...it doesn't even really do that. If it gave you in-game rewards and not just a score it might work.

Or, even better...MS points for achievements. That would be nice.

Its just for bragging rights. I like it. I think it drives me to play more often and to switch the games out to hunt for more achievements. It doesn't matter that you don't understand it, because my e-peen is clearly bigger anyway.

I like this idea a lot. Say for every 500 or 1000 achievement points get you 200 points on the market. MS should think about this...although I'm sure they are not in a hurry to start dishing out free money after extending the warranty two more years.

My major gripe with achievement points is that 3/4 of them are for winning online games and I'm a decent gamer but I wind up getting slaughtered online by people who play pretty much 8 hours a day everyday, not to mention the people you wind up playing online are the most arrogant and obnoxious people you could ever run into.

As far as FM2 goes the AI in the game are cheapest dirtiest racers you could ever come across, so I wind up having a excellent car that some jackass nudges me and I wind up spinning into the wall, so I get pissed off and stop playing it for a while.

Saints Row is a kick *** game, almost have the story mode finished. Working on finishing up the activities before I do the final 3 missions.
