OK guys, here's the write up on how I did the lights that were featured on this post:

http://forums.altimas.org/zero...49660

First you have to take determine if you have the gap needed for the lights. if you have the stillen fascia, you'll have the gap needed. Not sure on the stock so you'll need to look and measure the distance. You'll need about 1/4" inches to fit the LEDs.

Here's the my car with the fascia off

Next, you'll need 2 - 19" white flexible light strips form oznium.com These strips will come with a 3M double sided adhesive. These strips can be cut to length. From the opposite end of the wire, you'll need to cut off 12 sections of LEDs. (4 groups of 3s) After you cut it to length, dab some silicone at the end to protect it from the elements. Then, apply the adhesive on one side on the strip and place them underneath the headlight so the front of the LED is flushed with the leading edge of the headlight. Be Sure to clean underneath the headlight well and don't get it wet! It should look like this after you install it.

Here's the link: http://www.oznium.com/led-flex-strips

After you have the LED strips mounted, energize them and see how they look.

When you're satisfied on the placement and wiring, put the fascia back on and make sure the fascia "sandwiches" the LEDs between the it and the headlight. Once you have it on, stand back and enjoy your magnum opus!

I hooked mine up temporarily to the park lights. Ideally, I want them hooked up to a power supply that is energized when you turn the car on and off when you turn the car off. Until I find that power source, this will have to do.

Oh snap Dangeris, that is some hot s***. Reminds me of the led's running on the bottom of my mother's new Audi.

Hot. First time I've seen this. Kudos to pioneering my friend. I think I'll do this to my 05 sedan. How much were the lighting strips?

I'm on vacation this week and looking to get some mod's complete.

Glad you like them! I bought the strips from oznium.com and they cost about $20 each. with shipping to my house it was almost $50 but I used priority shipping over the standard. Since your on vacation, I'd order them now so you'll have them ready to install when you get back. Enjoy your vacation my friend!

Anyone has an idea if this will work with the stock front bumper?I just took a peak at my car if there is a enough space under the headlight and it does not seem large enough.

One more thing, where did you connect the wire again? straight into the batteries? wouldnt the voltages matter?

dunno~ just a little kid with AC

He temporarily connected them to his parking lights. You can feed the positive and negative wires to the cooresponding pos n neg wires of the parking light power sources. He initially connected them to the battery terminal to ensure they are functioning properly.

Also, around fitment, he said you need a 1/4 inch between the headlight and the bumper. Measure it and see if you can fit in with your stock bumper. I haven't yet measure the space at the bottom of my headlight, but I'm more than positive they'll fit between the headlight and hood if I decide. Keep in mind though that I own a 2005 sedan, not an AC . . . yet

If space is an issue, wouldn't these work just as well?

http://www.oznium.com/thin-waterproof-ribbon

They're waterproof and really thin...the only drawback I can see is that there are fewer lights along the strip than what Dangeris used........

BTW, you really can't go wrong with Oznium! The Scion folks have been using them for years!

I think the issue with the thin ribbon LEDs is that they are a surface mount. So, if you mount them, where is it going to be to? The bottom of the front of the headlight? Otherwise, if you mount below the headlight, the lights will be facing downward, toward the bumper.

Am I correct, or did you notice something else that I may have missed?

Good call out though!

True, I was wondering about that too.It is possible to mount them facing up and thereby creating a nifty glow within the lamp housing (did this with my last car), but this might not be to most peoples' tastes. It seems to me though that there is a flat area facing outward on the underside of the headlight that you could mount the strip to (at least that's how it appears in the pictures). However, since I haven't actually removed by headlights yet, I could be completely out to lunch on this!

At the same time though, it resemble my employee's SS Cobalt. But we all know a Cobalt is a plastic POS.Kudos to you Dangeris. I'm lovin it
Thanks man, I drive around town and on the highway and people are always coming up to me asking what kind of car it is an how they love the glow of the headlights. I'm brainstorming on the signals now and how I can mod that. As soon as I figure that out, you guys will be one of the first to know.

I think that might even look better! The fewer lights might negate the 'xmas tree' effect that people complained about in the other post, and I'd think the fewer lights would look more like the fancy audi angel eyes everyone loves.

looking at those, I would have gone with them HOWEVER as EOrdonez3229 stated above, they are flush mounted and thus have nothing to mount to. IF you mount them underneath like I did, the LEDs will shine to the ground and not outwards.

Oh I missed that post. What if you mounted them under the headlights, where the fog lights are? This might not work w/ the stillen fascia because there doesn't seem to be a flat surface there, but the stock front end seems to have a good flash surface by the fog lights where one could mount them. I think it would look a little like the Audi S6 that kuhan posted in your other thread....it also has the led strip under the bumper part...

call me crazy but...

if you somehow spliced into the wires for the cigarette lighter under the radio wouldnt that turn them on when the car is turned on since that outlet is only on when the car is on???

you can do things like this, but why?

I think its much easier not touching factory wiring, and just making it go to a switch...

No you're not crazy because I've already though of this but trying to find out where to run the wires is a pain. Also, I th ought there had to be a similar wire in or near the fuse box that is in the engine bay, which is far easier to wire than running a wire through the firewall.

Maybe easier, but that wire thru the firewall happens one time, then your good forever from it!

I didnt drill thu my firewall, shoved it thru the boot... wire taped to straightened hangar, with a friend in the wheelwell directing me and pulling it thru with pliers.

If more electrical tinkering would be done, id be working on finding the sequential relay that makes them work as blinkers in motion..

I ordered mine today with priority mail. I'm going to run then along the top and inner side of my 3rd generation's headlights - give it that "L" shape appeal that Nissan is heading toward with their lighting.

I'll post pics after the install.

Today, I did my Eibach install and began to layout what my LED strips will look like. Here are pics from when I ran the power from the battery, and just layed them on the headlight. The pics aren't too great, but you'll get the idea of what the finished product will be. 19" was the exact length too - sweet!

Well, shyt, whoever Robert is, tell him to show em yo!

I took them off though bc the one is retarded and one of the groups of 3 isn't working. Of course Oznium isn't available today at their number. They flicker, and only stay fully lit if there is pressure on them (such as the hood - the defective strip is shown in the photos). Hopefully they won't give me any issues and will send to NJ overnight with a return package.

I'll get night pics soon. Thanks for the idea Dangeris
