Update on my paperweight. She way's a little bit less than I thought seeing how some of her floor is missing. But I tore out the carpet in hopes to find the problem areas early and fix'em. Luckily this is the only spot.

Did find a ALT /75 fuse at the junkyard and now my electronics work.

Looking around on this forum I really feel lucky about my S13 gl with the repairs.

looks like your frame rail is still intacked, just go to a junk yard and cut out a patch. The other option is make it out of sheet metal, but it wont be pre-bent. good luck

same thing happened on my driver side to the seat hole. Don't worry about pre bent. I had my dad, whose a machinist, at his shop cut me out a 2 pieces of sheet metal and make the hole for the bolt and just slapped it in there. then I took a piece that was 2 by 6 and angled it against the side on to the flat part. it's covered by carpet so you can see it but it works just the same.

I had a similar rust spot in the exact same location. We cut it out, bent up some new sheet metal and welded it in. For the seat, we used a small piece of angle iron and welded a nut to the back of it to make the seat mount.

Then I just cleaned it up, zapped it with some rust prevention paint on both sides, painted the top body color and the underside was hit with an undercoating paint.

Thanks for all the advice. Luckily there's a junkyard about 5 minutes from my house with 2 240's with good enough sections of the floor so if I botch one, I got another shot. I'm just relieved that other people have been able to do this and appreciate your tips.

What rust hole? All I see is an excuse to rip out the interior to stitch weld.

damn dude, I spilled some brake fluid in that exact spot. Seeing that now makes me want to get my arse in gear and wash/scrub/paint my carpet and clean and remove the tar crap from the interior. I refuse to wanna deal with rust in that type of area.
