When considering coilovers, what has a greater effect on ride comfort... spring rates or dampening??? I'm sure having them well matched is ideal but say I wanted to pick up some Tein coilovers and I wanted to reduce the spring rates to say 6k-4k? Or even less?? How would this effect the ride? I'm seriously considering matching some softer Swift springs with some decent coilovers. Just curious what you guys think.

i think the dampening has more impact on ride quality, again i think having them well matched is ideal, but i think dampening has more affect on ride quality, from what i have experienced, underdampened struts will ride like poop and i dont thing decreasing spring rates, even to that extent, will have an effect on ride quality you may have to perform maintenence more often(rebuild coilovers) due to more travel and softer rates

dampering 100%

take ksportthe reason they suck so bad is the rear low speed dampering is WAY too high, and high speed is way too low.sucky
