when i turn the key , nothing.... the dome light, headlights, and clock light work fine. and the battery is fine. so is the starter and alternator. this happened before, but i replaced the ignition fuse under the hood and it fixed it. the car runs great , if i can just get it started. could it be that ignition fuse again? what else should i try? i have a '90 240sx SE. i would greatly appreciate any help. thanks..!

seems like it would be. check the ones under the hood and the dash. after u fix it, start looking for the shorted wires causing the fuse to blow.

which ground ? the main engine bay ground? cuz there seems to be other grounds located all about the car. the guy who i bought the car from seems to have done a lot of electrical stuff to the car so im slowly trying to undo all he did. but thanks for the suggestion.

Does your car make a clicking sound when trying to start? If not, it's most likely a bad connection from the ignition to the starter (not the thick wires, but the thinner one that goes to the connector that leads to your keyhole in the steering column).
