damn stupid nissan salesman

i just ordered the niagara grey coupe, and the sales saying he will look for it for me and it might took about a week (worst case i don't mind to get the black). But on the second day he called and saying he couldn't find it but he has a silver( i've been driving silver car for 8 years). im just thinking he's never spend time to look for the grey for me, and try pushing the old silver to me.

guys, how long would it take usually. and im located in toronto

yup but it also depens on if u want certain packages and s***. Like you may have to drive to get it or they might bring it to you it all depens

I'd tell him if he can't find the color, I will go for other dealer. Sometimes you just have to show them nicely your the "boss".

Im not sure how things go in Toronto. How far is the next nissan stealership? But i would totally walk out of there.

Make sure you get what you want, your gonna be stick with it for a long a** time.

actually Canada's Niagara Grey is the same as the US Dark Slate

If you are adimant about getting The car you want.. (as i was) i just called all the dealerships in the ontario and asked if they had one. Then told the dealer theres one at XXX go get it. Dealerships dont want to part with popular stock.. and i can understand that.. they wont always be honest to another dealer, but to a customer.. you bet they will.

i dealt with the same problem. i was looking for a white 2.5 base model and every dealer i called said they had it and when i showed up they said that they didnt. dealers lie to get u in the door, then try to sell what they do have. ugh i cant stand the dealerships. full of bs.

worst case...having them order you one from the factory....but you gotta wait about 3-3 1/2 months. they will tell you 6-8 weeks but thats all BS.

Ya, this morning salesman called, he said he tried so hard, and couldn't find it. and then i yelled at him, said "look, if u can't find it within today, then i'll cancel the deal, i don't wanna waste your time, and u don't wanna waste mine" after 2 hours, he called "congrat! i found your grey coupe, its on the way to the dealership. so tomorrow u can pick it up!"full of BS ... lol

Bravo on you putting ur foot down. Salesmen get lazy and don't look harder than they have to if they can go for the easy sale on what's already in inventory. Stomping their face in is the only way to get what you want.

My first salesman was all gung-ho to sell me a new coupe. After the first test drive we emailed daily about color, options, pricing. Then I didn’t budge from the 6MT. Said he just couldn’t find one…but had the color & options combo I wanted in auto trans.

The next day I went to a different dealer. Told him that I wanted a new coupe. Told him the specs…Same afternoon he called to say that it could be delivered tomorrow. He would bring it in from 2 states over with my approval.

After I took delivery of the 6MT I dropped by the first dealer and showed him my new car! He didn’t email me anymore after that…

Long story short. I’m driving the 6 speed with the color & options I wanted. And the dealer that went the extra mile gets all of my maintenance $$!
