damn sohc!!!

having lots of problems please help. 1st off when i start the car it idles really ruff then after bout 30sec dies.2nd if i give it gas to keep it from cuttn off the engine shakes alot and backfires.3rd i searchd abit a thought it may be the maf so when i unplug it and start it the car will idle longer than with it pluged in.4th and lastly it wont rev past 2.5k. i dont know what to do please help. thanks in advance.

check and see what codes you have. You should unhooked the battery in clear all the codes reconnect the battery run the car for a little bit and see what codes up you could have an air flow meter problem, check and make sure that no exhaust gas is being dumped into the intake through that steel that hooks to the exhaust, this will destroy an air flow meter!!!!!!!!!!!
