Agreed. Should be in the 12-12.5 range.SLde_Show_Enthusiast wrote:retune it!...afr in the 10s are to0 rich!
nice ka-t..
shut up kim, u helped me tune it. lol. when u come up wednesday and we swap those cams and get that heat shield made up we'll retune for 11.8-12's.SLde_Show_Enthusiast wrote:retune it!...afr in the 10s are to0 rich!

12.5s?...i try to keep mine below 12s... some where in the 11-11.8 rainge...daily driving, drifting, autoxing.....i feel kind of worried keeping it over 12s on a stock motor...KATwo40 wrote:Agreed. Should be in the 12-12.5 range.
I run a T3/T04E, 370's, SAFC2, walbro255, stock MAF, base timing at 15*, 8psi daily driven. My AFR's are in the mid 12's. No ill effects.SLde_Show_Enthusiast wrote:

or..should i be ok?
eric...when i come up..we'll up the boost and retune it...remind me to retard your timing to0...
o yea...go borrow a timing gun
really? well, i guess i'll leave mine where they are..KATwo40 wrote:I run a T3/T04E, 370's, SAFC2, walbro255, stock MAF, base timing at 15*, 8psi daily driven. My AFR's are in the mid 12's. No ill effects.
I agree, especially at such a low boost. If you stay at 7-8 psi you may not even need to retard the timing at all. But safety is best. So if you do retard your timing, lean that baby out or you may just wash the oil from the cylinders with all that fuel and due some real damage, I've seen it done.SLde_Show_Enthusiast wrote:

well my setup is differnt than dj_hypes(eric)...bigger turbo(t3/to4), injectors(480s), maf(z), and more boost on a stock motor...im at 12psi daily driving..timing retarded to 14-15degrees base....and im trying 2 keep my afr at 11.5-11.8...maybe even 12s...duno wut 2 do...WDRacing wrote:I agree, especially at such a low boost. But real power comes in at 12.5 or so.

lol, the zipties were temporary. it's held up by 1/4" thick flat bar.
