OK I was planing to turbo my ka-e, I got turbo kit, fuel management, and tools. I was going to install it tomorrow after i get my new alternator. But today, my starter died on me, probably caused by bad alternator, which also killed my battery. So I'm totally screwed up, I feel so bad i want to junk/sell my 240, that damn thing is keep sucking my money out for gay reasons, I need a cigarette. Tell me people, it's not just me, is it?

I got this depressed about my s13 within 3 months of owning it.. but then, i took other peoples advice.. hang onto it, bit your lip, and keep going dude.. it's the only way to be.. it may cost you 100 bucks here or there, but if you've gone to all this trouble in getting all your kit, your best off putting it on, and pimping it out !! i mean ****, imagine how happy you'll be when it;'s all done !!!

My 0.02c and yes, i have ended up keeping my car various times, it's a labour of love dude !

Owning an older car is a roller coster ride.

truer words have never been spoken/written.This statement should be in every bill of sale for an older car.

Why wont anyone buy it for 3500? My old 91 had primered bumpers and hatch, bolt ons and I got 3500 for it. I certainly would pay 35 for a boosted KA 240. There not too popular anywhere, If I were you i'd keep it, wait for that new fast furious movie to come out, then sell it when all the hype hits.. Look what it did to the value of an Mk4 supra.

I know how you feel. I have an S13 as well and the first month I owned it it cost me 1200 bux in tires, injectors and a few other little things like transmission services and crap. But now I've had it for almost a year and I have learned A TON about my car...And fook, you have TURBO....fix the damn alt and starter and slap it on!!! And then ENJOY! geesh.

Dude blew the engine in my '90 due to the timing chain guide breaking 3-4 months after getting it, dropped more than 3 grand in it on various petty stuff and the engine, did a 5 speed swap, and its a 3 months shy of a year later and im happy as hell i kept it!

sigh..fixed my starter today, costed me 30 for starter, 5 bucks gas, 7 food and etc.I can't believe Pepboys charge that for 200 bux, I did myself for $42. Luckly, Job was easy, except I didn't have any Jack, so i had to work in tight space. But it's okay, works fine now, all i need is good alternator, then turbo my ka-e

ps. Wow how do you take the altinator out? it's too tight!!!!!

Picture is the original starter that used since 1989 Winter. (Now i know why it broke)

I dont follow that logic. Whoever told you that was searching. Thats not really how things go...

As for the alternator, the bolt underneath it is the one you need to get out first and you probably need a cheater bar or air tools to get it un-done.

ive spent thousands on just making my s13 run right. labor was a big part of that but i've bought tools and now i do most of the work myself. these cars are money pits. i've felt like tossing my car in a canal like a hundred times. but i just think about how fresh she will be once the 18's get put on and the turbo kit is complete and installed. think about going to ur local hangout and not having to park all the way down there because ur embarrassed. you'll park your whip in the show and u'll be proud that this is ur car. especially when people want to talk to u about it. a lot of us r in the same boat. just hang on dude.
