damn JIC rebuild!!!!!!

ok guys i just got my new shock in yesterday to repllace my blown ones on my sf-1 coil overs. The guys at JIC said i can do it my self so i take the pillow ball mount off then the spring and bump stop. SO all i have to do is slide the blown shock out but there is so cap over top of it. i bang it some but it jus bends some so i stop. is it possible for me to do this my self or does JIC have to do it????????

Post a pic if you can, I'd like to see exactly what you have (both the rebuild and existing strut).

I just got a set of JICs that need rebuilding as well.. I was wondering how long do the shocks last til they need another rebuild? Plus, where can I order replacement shocks besides JIC USA..??
