thanx u guys... i needed a lil support and u guys gave me good feedback.i replaced the control arms yesterday and it really made the Q handle sooo much better.appearently the previous owner installed stillen arms and they dropped the ride and it really seemed harsh in corners and over bumps. and did i mentioned how loud they were and sqeaked to the point where it was heard outside by people...it it such a relief to me that i have that done....

now the next step i have is the glow gauges from ebay...[IMG][/IMG] i have them installed but would like a lil tip as to wat would be the best way to connect them.if anyone has expirence with these gauges i would love to know how u hooked tham up.the 12 volt power source is wat im lookin to find wat should i use

I would prefer Red needle with White background L.E.D's.

But I think it will be a pain to remove the gauges.

The two little lights for the Diagnostic Information Center are burned out so you need to replace those.

Indigo "glow gauges" and "clear tail lamps were cool for about 15 minutes way back when they were first introduced to the market for the Civic and cavalier crowd of teenagers souping up their econoboxes. Introducing them to a classic luxury car like the Q only cheapens the look of the car.

Thats very true and if my q was new i would never do such a thing however the standard of luxury cars is on a whole different level now so i want my q to really be new and improved. i mean sure stock they are beautiful but the q is a actually a real performance luxuxy vehicle. i just wish it had a lil more sport. i had a gxe max for a first car and i would have done anything at the time for a SE. when i my q the way i want it, it will be a killer car..i pull up to newer cars and i love the fact they know already now to many cars are animals like the Q thay dont mess wit q45s. GSs bmw 5s 7s e and s classes dont dare race a good q

Watch out for mom and pop in any newer v6 Altima, camry, Accord.....they all are quicker both to 60 and the 1/4 mile......sorry the Q is just not a fast car by todays standards.....most new V6 sedans will eat it for breakfast.

Common for today v6 motors to have 300 HP....400 is new target for lux V8,combined with 5-6-7-8 speed transmission. Old 4000 lb q45 cant match up to todays technology-enjoy it for what it is, a superb blend of talents and wonderful craftsmenship.

What makes you think today's luxury cars are not on a lower level? Is it all the whiz bang thinga majiggies that fail?

You would have to abuse your Q45 quite a bit to get it to the level of most of today's luxury cars.

well i really didnt get a q for racing. fact that the new cars are faster is true. i drive hard sometimes so it doesnt feel like it sometimes. u right bout the numbers but its somethin about a stock q that bores the hell out of people...it takes creativity and a certain passion to upgrade a car like that q

1.) Then you must have bought the wrong car.

2.) Yes, and a couple of engineering degrees, a first class automotive restoration shop, and a first class racing shop with a bench dyanamometer. Did I mention money?

Wait so you fixed A Q45 with a bad frame that was bent due to an accident?

If so where were you when my Q was Totaled, because my parents, guy who towed it away and everyone else who I talked to told me that car if fixed up right would never be the same.

And the 0-60 times and 1/4 mile times are not bad but I like the fact that when your doing 60 then stomp on it you go up to 80 in 2 seconds max.

Also love the fact that when you need to go some where a restore or at least maintained Q never lets you down.

i attened apex tech in ny for collision repair and my last month on school was structural repair...i was waitin for my student loan refund, one of my classmates overheard me talkin bout gettin a q when i get out. he had a friend with a green 94 smashed all to hell...we had to replace the front end completely..

after the radiator support and was off u could see everything and after measuring the frame it was so off we had to straighten it... that frame broke so many of the attachments we use...once it was finally straight it took alot of work and it was good as new. thats wat made me officially a Q45. we worked on so many cars and none was stong like that not even the caddy deville we restored...

im takin my car there after the winter to paint my Q if the are any automotive schools by any of u guys thats a lil secret, they will work on your car as a rule they cannot charge you it is considered educational so if u have the parts they will do it for u free of charge...

I doubt that would fly at any body shop around here or probably any where.

So after the Green 94 Q45 was all put together it went straight down the road or did it pitch to an angle?

I say that because repairing frame is not like reaping an engine or transmission, if you mess something up on the frame you can't fix by getting another one unless from what I heard its a latter frame AKA full frame.

Be it that I have no experience in Auto Body repair.

But if you repaired and it goes down the road straight then I am very proud of you.
