Last year we had 3 in the hills and had another that came close to my apt 2 weeks ago (i had to evacuate).

i finally had to time to wash her b/c she was nasty and covered in ash. i actually hosed her off the same day i was able to go back home but the ash just sits in the air for weeks.

today i went to the hand carwash w/ my gf and we both got our cars nice and decked out; even the interior had ash everywhere.

I noticed that in the sunlight you can actually see the imprint left behind from and bird **** ash concoction that sat on the trunk for a month.

Mine too, I have a black one and I have white spots in the paint that make it look like glitter but not shiny.

You should wash bird doodoo and other things off the car ASAP! They stain the paint!

Get some quick detailer spray (i use mcguires) and keep it in the trunk with a small Microfiber towel... when you see the bird doo, spray it, wipe it and end it!

Yeah i used some mcguiars scratch remover on some little scuffs around the door and on the handle (which amazed me since i have keyless entry and dont wear a ring) and on the bird **** spot and it worked great.

that stuff is fantastic, leave it on for 10 15 minutes than buff it off with a microfiber towel and you're money.

Don't forget to clay bar your car. I just did it on my car last weekend and it made my paint smooth.
