Stupid car squeals when I start it up, and then it will randomly squeal when I'm driving. Usually starts squealing when I'm stopped at a stop light or in a drive thru or something, and then goes away after a while. It also does it when I slow way down to like 2mph and then put it in first and drive away.

The squealing pretty much comes back when I come to a stop anywhere, untill I've been driving for a while, and then the squealing is gone. I don't think it has to do with my engine temp cause the gauge is reading in the middle and it still squeals at times.

Pretty sure my belt is fine. I've tried it loose, and tight. No change. Frankly I can't stand this s*** anymore, its f***ing embarassing having it squeal hella loud plus sitting a minute after I start the car up, just for the squeal to stop. I've also tried to lube up the pulleys, and spray the belts with stop squeak stuff.

I read somewhere about the squealing being throw out bearing related? Didn't really make sense, but I thought I'd ask incase thats a possibility. I'm thinking of replacing the water pump, but mine is semi-new so idk. Any help, will be great. Thanks

Have u replaced the Throw-Out Bearing? My car was doing the same thing, then it went away after I replaced it. Just make sure they/you lubricate the right parts when you replace it.This might help - http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=316656

Mine does it too, I have an oil leak coming from my valve cover because of a stripped bolt. Might wanna check that.

well over lunch, i tried running water over the belts and whenever i poured it on the lower one, not sure what it goes to, the squealing stopped. so i guess that means i replace that one? the belt only has like 3k miles on it though, so hm..

and just on a question about the TOB, are they like.. universal. I have an upgraded clutch (clutchmasters stage 5) so would I have to go to them to get a TOB or could I just hit up autozone and get an OEM one.

You can tell who turns wrenches in here.....

All pulleys spin freely without a belt on them? All pulleys aligned properly, and accessory mounting bolts tight?

Spin all of your pulleys without the belts on them, except for the crank...of course. Id just hate to see you keep throwin money on belts if one of your pulleys is locking up. Best of luck getting rid of the nails across the chalkboard....

I had some belt squeal on 5k RPMS + and it turned out to be a failing fan clutch causing pulley resistance since the fan was not "slipping" properly.
