it seems like everytime i fix something and drive my car something else goes wrong. i just relocated my oil return because it was too low, and i drove the car tonight and all of a sudden it sounded weird and had a lose in power, and wasnt boosting very easily. it sounded like an exhaust leak, so i immediatly thought i cracked the manifold. its a custom tubular style manifold, and i had my friend weld it thats not very good. so now i got to take it off tommorrow, (which is a pita to get off) and i think im going to have my dad reweld everything on it to make it stronger. im just sick of **** going wrong with this thing. everytime i drive it something breaks.

don't get all worked up man. stuff breaks on everyone. i just replace my fuel pump wednesday. damn thing just stopped working.

since you gotta take the manifold off anyways, do you think you can snap and post a few pics of it?

well just got everything off and WTF do you know, i find something else. my turbo has shaft play in it pretty bad. the damn thing only has 200miles on it. i guess the oil that backed up and ****ed it up. now i guess i have to get that rebuilt. i talked to a local shop and they said it would be around $300 or more for a rebuild. i only paid $365 for it brand new. i wonder how hard it is to do a rebuild?

you can buy a kit for the rebuild, and do it yourself, the kits are about 100 bucks for all the seals, and everything.

I know how you feel. I finished my KAT around the same time as you, and its been nothing but trouble for the first 200 miles Ive been driving it. just look forward to that day when something doesnt go wrong, and you are finally done, and have a reliable setup.

=) It's called reality. Don't worry though, this only happens when you do something for the first time. Once you've got the hang of how things need to go, you'll learn to make smarter decisions, and things will automatically work out better.

Just be patient man. My car left the shop on July, I hadn't driven it for more than 2 weeks without taking it to the shop until now. But eventually the bugs are worked out... up until you want more boost :D
