a starter...

its been going bad, but no time, im pretty sure its the starter because sometimes when i turned the key, i dont hear it kick out and crank... today was specially bad since it took 5-6 cranks for its to finally kick out and crank...not to mention my cold start problem are back due to weather change

frankly i cant have the car down since its still my DD until i get the S14 out of the shop... so i need help finding a CA starter RWD so i can get it...rebuild it, and swap it out in a quick minute

i heed a cry of help to my fellow CA'ers

i cant wait till the CA is straight track

remove the stock starter and have it rebuilt

finding a RWD starter is a real trick....... there have been a few right ups of using other car starters, but it is a but load of work IIRC.

You can use a S12 one with a swap to an SR flywheel.

Just get the stocker rebuilt.

there are only so many options dude....... drive it to the shop...... have them rebuild it(figure an hour or two labor) and re-install.

just bring a few wrenches and such with you.

The nosed S12 starter will work just fine. You need the hitachi gear reduction (noseless) starter for the SR flywheel. You might make sure and match it up, as I haven't done this myself, but I was under the impression they were the same, or at least interchangeable.
