Some lady hit my parked car while I was at my friend's house. Thankfully she left a note on the windshield. Now I would never generalize that all women can't drive. However, she did hit my parked car so you can make your own conclusions. Estimates came out to be around $1900 because she also managed to take a chip out of my wheel.

I was really lucky that she left a note! Well the wheel costs like $591 from the dealership and the quarter panel is about $200 and change. The rest is for painting because they are most likely going to have some blending to do with the door and the hood. The lady who hit my car is having her insurance cover it so it wont be a problem. New wheels will be coming in the summer but I can at least use the chipped one for a full sized spare.

Sorry about your car. At least the lady left you a note.

So there is hope for human race after all.

Maybe a little, it amazes me what some people do to avoid taking responsibility for their actions.

I have one friend who bought a new car recently and it was parked in another friends drive way over night and magically got a large size dent in it.

That sucks at least she left a note, take the extra cash and get some after markets..quarter panel and paint should only run about 1K though..but then again my trucks lower door got estimated at 2400 bucks when I got smacked..extra ching was nice but not worth the giant PITA

Wow, I am really surprised she left a note. That definitely says a lot about her character and she is to be commended for at least doing that. She may not be able to drive worth a dang, but kudos to her for doing the right thing.

Im sorry to hear about your baby. I have had the same thing happen to me a few times as well in my other cars. Sucky situation. But they never left notes... Take it easy and here's to a quick repair for ya...

If the wheel can still be balanced I'd try to get the cash towards your new wheels. The stockers can be had fairly cheap (ebay, forums) just an idea

That sucks man...sorry to hear about that. Sheesh, that's my worst fear every time I park and leave my baby. There are a lot of inconsiderate people in this world and many wouldn't even bother to take the time to leave a note. At least this lady did, which is good thing. Could be worst though, she could of hit a real person.

so sorry to hear that... People these days don't pay attention to what there doin! Most women want to talk on the cell phone while driving, especially while backing out of parking spaces! This has got to stop! I think it should be the law to have blue tooth while opperating a motar vehicale. A woman almost took the side of mine out yesterday in the kroger parking lot cause she was arguing with her man while trying to back out. Yes... Most men pay better attention while behind the wheel, but there is the exception

blue tooth, cellphone , or talking to a magical screen doesn't matter, it's the Conversation itself that distracts people. Hold a phone to your head without anybody talking, it's the same as driving normally. Which is why alot of people with passengers that chat alot hit stuff, because thier attention is diverted away from driving.

At least she left a note, so can't really rag on her for being a woman driver....since the ones that we all rag on are woman who ALWAYS think they are right.

Anyways, holy hell, $1900 is rediculous. The fender is only $300, a paint job would probaby cost no more than $200. Install labor would take 2 hours, max (given the tools that the dealer has).

Talk about an arm and a leg....at least you aren't paying for it.

edit: oh unless you are getting a new wheel out of it too....but that would be one expensive rim.
