wont be at the autox, taking my mom to a ranger game and dinner with my brothers.

BUT...

I believe the new FW local 240 meets are being held in the parking lot of Freebirds on Overton Ridge between Hulen and Bryant Irving... where the old Ultimate Electronics was. I will be there this thursday night.

Wow... my best time at the autox was 7 seconds more than the average time. Most of the runs i was fighting the understeer demons until i started driving my style of driving... drift... and i shaved 2 seconds off but went on the wrong side of the last slolom and got a dnf...

i ran on my hanabis and my kumho 711's are plain r rated radials... i probably wouldve done better with zr's at least but a lot of people there were running slicks on all fours. i wont go that far but im wondering if i just drive the course with my own driving style ill do better. i feel a lot more comfortable half way sliding through the corners then braking and trying to get my tired ka to accelerate out.

i was the only one in my class. i put myself in DP because of my wide tires and stripped interior and 11.5" steering wheel. maybe i should've classed as dsp...

as for suspension ive got kyb agx non adjustables and megan racing lowering springs. it worked out ok.

theyve got the pics posted from that event so check them out. mines got the body kit. #240 baby!

there was also another 240 hatch that ran stock tires and was lowered. he ran better than i did for sure.

i guess all in all not bad for my first time.

so ya n00b240, we have meets on overton ridge across the street and catty corner from the hulen mall if you want to come out on thursday nights. you can take i-20 to hulen and go south to overton ridge which is where sears auto is and take a right. we meet after the next stop light on the left so ya, just in case.... the meet starts around 7:30pm.

WTF, I just mapquested this mofo. Havent been able to get to the 240 just yet, will be coming (hopefully) in the 6MT ...56 miles from me? The island where I was at for the past 2 years aint even that long in circumference!

Its tellin me (from frisco) Dallas Tollway to George Bush to 161 to 183 to 121 to I 35 to I 20?? Is this the fastest way? Anyone from Frisco or the surrounding area with a faster/more direct way?

I mean Id almost want to take the tollway to 35 and then 20 all the way west. Fuggin A, its gonna take some getting used to driving long distances again. The Island I came from, I could drive around the whole island in 45 mins.
