Interesting news today - Daimler Benz is forming a partnership with Renault/Nissan. Of particular interest here:

"Daimler, meanwhile, will provide engines for Nissan’s Infiniti luxury cars, and Renault and Nissan will provide diesel engines and transmissions for the Mercedes-Benz Vito van."

I don't think my G37-S sedan needs a Daimler engine - it's pretty bad-a** as it is. I wonder what they'll come out with.

Here's the article: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04...ml?hp

that can't be good for those of us that are quite happy with our G's, unless of course they bring some of those AMG motors to the lineup. Not much of a fan of anything Mercedes other than the power of those AMG tuned motors. Even then, I think Nissan seems to have some pretty good high power motors as it is now anyway.

I noticed the article starts out saying small cars, any chance Inifinti has some small cars on other markets? Nothing here in the states is small. Mid size is the smallest with the G
