The reason why I want to know what ppl's daily drivers are is because my dad and I run and own a salvage yard in Sulphur, Lousisana.
Im thinking about advertising on nico in January to help ppl get parts for their daily drivers. I want to know if ppl would be interested in dealing with a fellow enthusiasts and if they need parts...

Im thinking the add would be set up like my company logo then flash to another image and say something like: Quality recycled parts for your daily driver from a fellow enthusiast...

If you clicked the add it would link you to my ebay store that were still setting up...

Let me know what you think... Would anyone be interested?? :)

Hmm. I may be interested in this. Let me know when you get all of the details completely worked out. And now for my DD:

1994 Sentra SE-R
Mods:
Custom 3" catback with a silly fart can that is soon to be replaced.
Spectre filter soon to be backed by a full intake.

And everything else is pretty much stock for now.

97 prelude, sometimes a 2001 Miata. I'd definitely be in for some Miata parts if you had them.

What started as a $900 weekend beater car turned into a restoration project that's so far cost $7700 with more to go.

'91 Miata and an '88 Trans Am. Dont usually need to many parts, but if you have a few third gen F bodies laying around in that yard, I'm game.

I believe Nala mentioned getting a bigger DD than his Mom's QX4 as it apparently wasn't working well for his rape-for-rides taxi service. I understand this might be his next vehicle...

If you're looking to supply used car parts, you might do better inquiring about project cars instead of DD's. People tend to fix their DD's much more quickly than project cars. Plus buying used parts from a salvage yard somewhere in Louisiana is not time practical (or cost effective if you include shipping) if you live in California or in the northeast and need the part quickly.

^I agree with Joel on that, I doubt I would buy something from a salvage yard and pay for it to be shipped for my DD, unless it were something non-vital, like a cosmetic item or similar. I order all of my parts online from RockAuto.com or Advance Auto Parts, with Advance I can pick them up same day most of the time. Advance also offers free shipping, so obviously I try to order from them first and foremost, unless there's a huge price difference elsewhere.

This is mine, 2000 Infiniti I30:

2005 Legacy GT Limited Wagon, 5-speed. One of only 1022 ever made. Absolutely love it.

Going Stage II next weekend (Up-pipe, down-pipe, Custom ECU tune) should be around 320 BHP. I have a set of snow tires sitting in storage just WAITING for flakes to fall :ohno:

Re: a salvage yard link to eBay store. Great idea. And I'm sure many would use it. Definitely worth the initial time investment, IMO.

Thanks!

Yes, it was at The Dragon. It was taken during the recon trip I made down there last week.
