I'd like to do a turbo setup on an S14 I'm hoping to get in the next few months or so. I want it to be a very reliable, very fun street car, no shoddy junkyard setups here. Since I'm getting a Kouki S14 and I'm going to be installing some audio gear into it, so the car will be pretty heavy as 240s go. I figure maybe around 275 whp would be good to have a fun street car and make up for the extra weight? Anyways, whats a good turbo for a KA24 to create this much power without much lag? I don't want a turbo with lots more potential because it will lag too much and tempt me to up the boost Is a Garret GT28 (disco potato, right?) a good bet, or is it too small? I see a lot of T3/T4 setups for KA24s, but I'd rather go with a more modern, quicker spooling turbo, even if i have to pay a bit more for it. Any advice?

search on the potato. T3/t4's spool pretty fast. T3's spool instantly and may choke at high rpm's. T28's are pretty small and may or may not hold boost at high rpm's.

The Disco Potato sounds like a pretty good match for what you want
