Yeah, I just started to send him on a week vacation, and found Greg had already banned him. It doesn't say a time limit so who knows how long.

Well, Here is a picture of the home-made motor mounts. They seel to work great and give you a lot of room.

I also rubber under coated some of the car. I plan on finnishing the rest soon enough.
Image
When I was cranking the car (with the coils un-plugged ) to build oil pressure before actually starting it I kept blowing the 75 amp ALT fuse and then I remember that I never put the ground back on the ALT so I put a new ground on and went to the junk-yard today and bough five of the for $25 :naughty:

I got the gauges installed and working...

Eh, just found a thread on a random local forum where they recommended using permatex, so that it could still be removed if you needed to access your gauges...

Cool that kinda what I was thinking.

On another note I eliminated all wires and plugs for the A/C which my original idea was to never have A/C in the car. But after this summer I realized I have to have it.. haha.
But I will have to buy a new harness and start from scratch. So my plans are to re-do all plugs with the deutch connectors ( https://www.wirecare.com/deutschdt.asp? ... eSeries=DT ), instead of the wrappable sleeving I will be using the fitted "Clean Cut" Techflex sleeving ( https://www.wirecare.com/products.asp?prodline=CCP ), and instead of electrical taping the ends to the covered wire I will heat shrink the sleeving to the connector itself with the shrinkflex tubing ( https://www.wirecare.com/products.asp?prodline=H3 ).
SCHWINN UPDATE

We got the racer mostly taken apart, I need to send the wheels to get powder coated white and i need to send all pieces to get re-chromed.

Looking good! How are you going about cleaning the underside to prep it for the new undercoat?

Thanks! And I used paint thinner. It drys the fastest so you can get to spraying and it cleans the best. :bigthumb:

Haha, thanks man. I found a amazing deal on a chuki bumper but he was in NJ. Only $50! Hopefully I can find something a little closer...
Next time I go to the shop I am going to move the fuse box to the fender-well and that will make it a little "fresher". :chuckle:

Yes, his post was deleted. I'm currently searching out the rest of his posts to see how much he's done it. He may be taking a short break from NICO.

:werd: I actually find them a much more attractive front bumper than most aftermarket bumpers once you stuff an intercooler in there...
