Hi,

So my passenger HID d2r bulb is starting to go and figure now would be a good time to replace my healights before the bulb fully burns out. I know the stock bulb is a 4300k bulb, I was wondering if any has a suggestion if I should replace the bulbs with 4300, 5000 or 6000k bulb.

Cheers,
Neil

Keep in mind, that the higher the colour temp you choose, the dimmer the lights get (their lumen output is lower)
Have a read about color temperature in this article about HID's http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/hid-ha ... ights.html
(It's in about the last 1/3rd of the article)
We have a supplier on here that gives Nicoclub members a discount.
Ckeck them out here, www.hidextra.com
Use the code "nicospecial-m" to receive $15.00 off. (I think it still works)

i would do 5000. 4300 is "stock" for most brands, 6k is bright blue. 5k would be a nice compromise.

PS 4300 makes the most light but 5k is still bright as hell and look cool.

Thanks for the help,

I think I will stick with the 4300k bulbs since I want the brights bulbs available. I do like the look of the slight blue light but would rather be able to see further down the road. I haven't had a chance to look at the headlights yet to see how easy they are to replace but I'm assuming it's relatively easy. Am I wrong to think this? I didn't see how to change the headlights in the service manuel.
