I'd like to put a tach in my 85' 720 2WD. Can anyone help my out with this? I'm hoping to find a tach and oil pressure gauge, only this is i'm not sure where to begin? I'm almost tsure the oil pressure gauge is suppose to be hooked up to the oil sending unit... but i'm not sure. Another thing, my battery light stay on when I'm driving. I've had my alternator checked out, checked and rechecked my grounds, everything is checking out ok. Battery never dies, never had any trouble, just the light stays on.

for the 720 z24 the tach should just plug in but then there is a resistor that plugs in in the front driver side of the engine compartment to make it work. Not sure where the oil pressure gauge plugs, there is a auxiliary harness that connects to the main harness behind the center console area but only the voltmeter works right away from doing that so there must be a different component for the oil pressure gauge. I traded in my 720 before I figured out what that was.

Ok so I really feel like a jerk, I was just doing some research for my current project. Which brought me across people asking for the wire color. First off I am really sorry I didnt respond I didn't see the thread till now. However, I would attach pictures but I'm not sure how. It is a blue wire coming off a connection right behind the airbox on the drivers side.
