i am swaping the z24 out of my 89 and trading it for a 240sx ka24e
so i have had a headache and a half lately with trying to install the 240sx wiring harness into my truck. for the past three or four days i have been staring at diagrams and e-mailing people about this problem i have. but today i finally attempted the splicing of the harness. at first no go. i had the start signal ign on, cel, and fuel pump wires spliced correct i just knew it. it was the constant that i just couldn't figure out. spent about another 2 hours staring at the idk maybe 10 different diagrams i have. and bam there it was. i found the wire went out and tried it out. and vuala so far everything thing seem to be in order.
still waiting on the engine mount brackets to get here so i can finish the mechanical part of the install. but once everything else is in and i can plug in all the sensors i will know for sure. as for now what i was looking for was the ecu to power on the fuel pump to kick on an the cel light to come on. and everything worked.
the only things i had to splice in were the ign on, ign start, fuel pump, cel, and constant. everything else is in the hands of the ecu.
i will update in a few days when i am able to get the engine fully installed into the truck.
