D21 pulls to left when stopping

I have a 1996 pickup that has started pulling hard to the left when I am on the brakes. anyone have any suggestions ??

Yeah, check out your brakes.

I would start by bleeding the system to see if that helps. You probably have 12 year old brake fluid in there. How many miles do you have?

It's also likely you have a caliper sticking, particularly if those are also as old as the truck. Check them out for rusty pins, etc. You might get lucky and just need to clean them up. Pull them off and pull out the pads to look for fluid leaks around the pistons.

Yeah he's right on. Most likely one or both of the breaks on the left are gripping harder than the right. I've had that problem on two cars before. In one case there was a small leak going to one of the front brakes. The second case was on a Mustang that I had just bought...the previous owner had replaced only one of the front break pads. To make it worse the pad he replaced it with was a high performance race pad while the other was still an oem pad. I couldn't believe it.

Thanks guys. I replaced both front calipers last year but who knows I could still hace a bad one, and I'll check for leaks. The truck does have over 200.000 milles on it. Thanks for the suggestions.
