i'm looking for 2.4L engine parts.. where the hell can i buy them. i've looked everywhere.

i need a oil PAN for my 1987 pathfinder. everywhere i search it's a $50 6cyl pan here and there.

is there a d21/pathfinder parts specific site or anything?

Provide your VIN and I can give you an OEM part number for the correct engine oil pan.

Your four-cylinder Pathfinder E model is very rare. They only made them for a couple of months, and not very many then. It was to be able to advertize a low price entry point ($9999 MSRP). Sales took off and they only made the more expensive (profitable) models. That's the bad news. The good news is that the pan is probably the same as the '87 four-cylinder 4x4 pickup. When your get towncivilian the VIN, and he gets you the part number, it may be helpful to chase the part number as a pickup part.

I've only ever seen two E on the road, and one other turn up here (and that might have been an earlier post by you).

Ignition control module? Can you be more specific? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious. :)

I searched at Courtesy Parts for "ignition control module" but didn't find anything definitive. Could you find a part number or exploded parts view on Courtesy Parts that depicts the ICM? I can then look the part number up to find your exact one.

can't find it either on courtesy nissan. http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/detai ... LX738.html

i honestly don't even know if it's my oil pan that's leaking, i just know that it does have a nice dent and i see oil dripping from the bolt, but it could be coming down from anywhere on the motor. i've read the oil pumps give out too and start leaking.. i almost don't even want to deal with all of this replacement in a sub $2k car.

but it being 2 door 5spd and 4x4 4cyl i want to get it back together, it's a fun little truck. + it's almost rust free, some surface rust on the roof, i was planing on painting it this week. now i have to deal with almost pulling the engine to install a oil pan.

i read on D21 forums that they just dropped the stabalizer bar and pulled the oil pan, can anyone confirm this with 4x4 pathfinder?

Are you sure your engine has a "transistor ignition unit"? Transistor Ignition Unit on Courtesy Parts

FAST says there is no applicable part when I enter in 22020 with your VIN. If you are certain you have one, RockAuto has some cheaper aftermarket options than the one you linked. Be sure to use a 5% discount code if you order anything from there.

Your truck is indeed rare, I'd hold on to it for sure! I'm afraid I don't know how to access the oil pan, sorry. You might want to try posting on NPORA since there are many more WD21 owners there than here, and I'm quite limited in my knowledge of WD21s, especially something as rare as your 4cyl model.

not sure, under hard acceleration the car will bog down and not want to go. if i push the throttle 25% it will be fine. the guy says he had a z24 4xyl 87. swapped out the intake side ICM and everything was fine after that. hopefully i'll get some better gas mileage too. thanks for your help, i joined the forum and still havn't found some1 on there with a 4cyl really even. haha.

Have you changed the fuel filter? If it becomes clogged or very restricted, it can result in an inability to reach higher RPMs.

yea i did, thinking of taking it off and opening it up to see if it's clogged already. then i'll just have to keep changing fuel filters until the problem is gone. gona try a couple things within the next week.
